‘The Midwife’ is a 2017 French film starring the two Catherines (Deneuve and Frot).
While two hours long, it is so well crafted and the storyline is so unpredictable that The film never drags.
Fans of the Catherines, and of French style character study dramas are likely to enjoy this film’s exploration of several significant themes such as mortality, regret, past relationships and even professional pride v’s technological efficiency.
The film’s wit, drama, intriguing story line, beautiful cinematogrophy, and superb acting, make it a most entertaining and satisfying experience.
